Entry Test 2007

For admission to First year MBBS & BDS in King Edward Medical University and Government Medical & Dental Colleges of the Punjab session 2007-2008 on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 9.00 A.M.

Candidates of Punjab domicile, Federal Capital Area (Islamabad ), AJ&K and Northern Areas desirous for admission to MBBS & BDS against open merit, self finance and reserved seats, except those nominated by the Economic Affairs Division and Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, are required to pass the Entry Test of King Edward Medical University/Government Medical & Dental Colleges of Punjab 2007-2008 session. Admissions will be made according to the rules and regulations contained in the prospectus for the session 2007-2008.

Eligibility:

• Age under 25 years on the last date of the submission of application for Entry Test.

• Qualification: F.Sc. (Premedical/Equivalent examination) with a minimum score 715/1100 unadjusted marks (excluding marks of Hafiz-e-Quraan).

• Domicile certificate of the candidate (No other certificate will be acceptable)

Additional Details

• Entry Test will be held on Sunday 28th October, 2007 at 9.00 a.m. at following cities:-
Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur.

• Admission packet which contains Entry Test papers both for MBBS and BDS is available from the Government Medical Colleges of Punjab i.e. KEMU, RMC, PMC, NMC, QMC against the cash payment of Rs.300/- per packet from September 20,2007 to October 13, 2007 up to 12.00 Noon. The admission application form for BDS is available at de’Montmorency College of Dentistry, Yaki Gate, Lahore.

• Candidates applying for Entry Test will submit their Admit Cards(Both), Personal Data Sheets (Both) duly completed along with attested photostat copies of Matric, F.Sc. and in case of qualification other than F.Sc. equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) along with the copies of the certificates against which the equivalence was claimed with domicile certificate and Rs.700/- in cash as Entry Test fee from September 20,2007 to October 13, 2007 from. 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and on Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon, during working days at any of the following places by hand, not by post. Applications received by post will not be entertained. It is made clear that the candidates will take the Entry Test at the same center where the papers for Entry Test have been deposited. The Entry Test papers may be submitted at the following centres:-

o King Edward Medical University, Lahore.
o Rawalpindi Medical College, Rawalpindi.
o Nisthar Medical College, Multan.
o Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad.
o Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur.

• Admit cards will be issued during the above period only.

• Candidates are required to pass the Entry Test with minimum 40% marks.

• Result of the Entry Test will be declared on 6th November, 2007.

• Top 2063 candidates as per merit list will be eligible to submit their applications for admission to first year MBBS at King Edward Medical University, Lahore and for BDS at de’Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore on the prescribed form, from 8th November, to 22nd November, 2007 from 8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and on Friday up to 12.00 noon (During working days).

• First selection lists of candidates to be selected in MBBS class will be displayed on 7th December, 2007 at King Edward Medical University, Lahore and for BDS at de’Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore.

• Second selection list will be displayed on 7th January, 2008.

• Third selection list will be displayed on 7th February, 2008.

• The admission letters will be issued by the respective university/colleges to the candidates.

• Any complaint against Entry Test result can be lodged within 15 days after the declaration of Entry Test result.

• No complaint against Entry Test result will be accepted thereafter.

No admission packet will be issued after 12.00 Noon on October 13, 2007.

No Entry Test form will be accepted after 01.00 p.m. on October 13, 2007

No admission application will be accepted after 02.30 p.m. on November 22, 2007.
