Brief History & Introduction

Willingdon’s history dates back seventy years to 1930 when Tikka Devi Health Centre was opened and an outpatient clinic for women on Fort Road.

Lady Willingdon is a combined maternity and gynaecological hospital having 235 beds. Today there are three independent units each having a sanctioned strength of three consultants, a senior registrar, registrar, eight medical officers, and eight house officer. This unit has one classroom, air-condition sixty student capacity one laboratory, Compute station and one meeting rooms.
