Brief
History and Introduction
The
department of orthopaedic surgery (unit-ii) was
established in 1996 with Prof. S. M Awais as the
first head of the unit. The department provides
health care services, education, rehabilitation
and social work services.
VISION :To obtain recognition of KEMU/MHL at National
and International level by providing high quality
patients services through education and research.

Introduction
This
society was established on24th Jan. 1993 by Prof
Dr Naseer Mehmood Akhtar, former principal KEMC,
in order to help the needy poor and deserving
patients requiring orthopaedic care. It provides
food, medicines, implants, investigations, and
prostheses free of cost to the deserving patients
of orthopaedic department through public donations.
It has provided funds for the uplifting of A/E,
OPD ward, OT children ward . It has also proved
its services to the establishment of SICOT education
center and preparation of the department for ISO
standards.
